Banteay Meanchey Governor: The PM is Always Near the People

BANTEAY MEANCHEY: The Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, Oum Reatrey, has thanked the people who support and trust the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and stated that the party's President, Prime Minister Hun Sen, always stays close to the people to support and encourage them to overcome all difficulties.

Speaking at an event to distribute donations from Prime Minister Hun Sen to nearly 800 families affected by floods in Serei Sophorn, Banteay Meanchey province, on Wednesday, 26 October, Governor Oum Reatrey said that the continual victory of the CPP for several terms is due to the participation and support of the people. He added that the Prime Minister has continued to lead the country from zero until now, leading Cambodia to much progress and development. He said trusting in Prime Minister Hun Sen is the right thing because he never leaves the people behind.

"Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, under this roof of peace, the people live in prosperity and without fear," he said. "Especially when the people are in trouble, the Prime Minister is always near the people. In fact, Prime Minister Hun Sen visited and gave food donations to the people affected by the floods, and rice seeds to farmers so that they can rehabilitate and increase their crop yields."

Since last week, Prime Minister Hun Sen visited flood victims in several provinces around the Tonle Sap Lake, including Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat and Kampong Chhnang. He made these visits to distribute aid, such as food and rice seeds, and to encourage the people to be strong while overcoming immense difficulties.
